The Postcard Story

Some travel memories come from a sweeping mountain view. Others arrive in a small, unexpected moment. This wild elk encounter belongs in that second group: a brief reaction that was too good to leave out of my postcard collection.

In Postcard #34, the elk’s lip-licking reaction is the moment to watch for. It is the kind of quick burst of fun I enjoy sharing through Papa Rick’s Travels—a real encounter from my travels, saved so my family and other viewers can enjoy it too.

My granddaughter “Special Charli” gave this channel its name. Keeping moments like this is part of the reason I started sharing my travels: a family keepsake can also give someone else a smile and a little inspiration to explore.
